Ride A Pet Pet Rarity List: What the Hatch Labels Mean

A readable ladder of reported hatch labels

Use the following samples as landmarks within the 30 named-pet baseline, rather than as a promised sequence you must hatch. K, M, B and T are compact notation for thousands, millions, billions and trillions. The source also uses Qa and Qi for larger labels; those strings are preserved as reported.

A “1 in” label describes the community card, not a schedule that owes you the pet after that many attempts. The records do not specify all active luck effects or establish which named egg produced the label. That missing context prevents a reliable time-to-hatch calculation.

Rarer does not mean better at every job

Kangaroo’s “1 in 3K” card reports 125 jump, while Horse’s “1 in 500K” card reports 108. Horse has higher speed and income, but Kangaroo wins jump between those two baselines. A rarity-only ranking hides that practical difference.

The same distinction applies to collection decisions. A missing species and a faster mount are different goals. For a travel upgrade, compare the current speed and jump cards; for a collection goal, track the species name. Do not pay for an upgrade solely because its hatch label looks impressive.

Keep egg categories and Dragon conflicts separate

Rare, Epic, Mythic and Ethereal are documented egg categories with matching radar tiers. The pet cards instead contain their own hatch labels. An Ethereal egg does not let this reference assign an Ethereal classification to every pet that a player says came from it.

Dragon has conflicting “1 in 5Qi”, “1 in 7Qi” and “1 in 67Qi” records. Our Dragon page identifies the archived 458 baseline rather than placing an unqualified current Dragon value in this ladder. Until the disagreement is resolved, compare that pet as a dated historical record.
