Phoenix versus Unicorn and TRex

Phoenix is particularly interesting when your current mount is TRex: its reported jump is 146 instead of 100, alongside a higher speed field. Unicorn has more jump than TRex at 135, but still falls below Phoenix’s 146. This is a meaningful distinction for a hunt that includes climbing rather than only flat travel.

The table compares unmodified cards, not three equally aged pets in a live race. If your Unicorn has already received substantial upgrades, inspect its current card before switching. The useful question is whether the Phoenix you actually own improves the route you currently run.

The Phoenix card supplies a hatch-chance label, but it does not supply the full rules that produced it. It does not identify a named egg, explain how purchased luck changes the result, or establish independent repeated attempts. Keep the label for comparing source records rather than forecasting a guaranteed number of hatches.

Phoenix’s name and appearance also do not establish its egg source. Flaming Egg is a documented Mythic egg with 1M Luck, but the egg record provides no pet pool. Matching a fire-themed pet to a fire-themed egg would turn a visual association into an unsupported gameplay rule.

Give a new Phoenix one clear job

After a Phoenix hatch, first test the route where your old pet struggled. Choose a familiar climb or return journey and note whether you finish without the repeated jumps or detours you previously needed. Keep the route fixed so terrain changes do not hide the value of the new mount.

If movement already feels comfortable, compare the income field separately. Do not infer coin payout from its 100K label, and do not divide resources between several pets merely because Phoenix is a rarer name. Establish the improvement before deciding which pet should receive your next feeding investment.
